TORRES SHOWING SIGNS OF RECOVERY

The roller-coaster ride of the Spanish striker Fernando Torres has seen him being considered as one of the best forwards in the world and the next day a waste of a transfer.

Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres proved to be an attacking duo that destroyed everything in their path. Those were a few years ago when Torres played in Liverpool and attracted the attention of top European clubs until Chelsea finally managed to sign him up for a whopping £50 million.

So far, Torres has failed to live up to his price-tag. Going through a number of seasons where he has failed to make an impact for his team and just not being the same player he was with the Liverpool jersey. The online bookmaker Unibet haven’t had to pay out on any Torres 3 Strikes Bets for many months now…

Although things are starting to take a turn for the better since Jose Mourinho made his return to Chelsea. The Portuguese started placing the Spanish player as a consistent key in his line-ups and in some way Torres has begun his revival with Chelsea.

“This is a young squad, with a new manager, new style, new players. It’s not easy to settle quickly, but we are on the way. We’re improving, we’re building up, we’re learning as a group. Hopefully we’ve learnt the lesson and it won’t happen again. Fernando Torres stated after suffering from a loss in the Champions League.

The former Liverpool player applauded the work and faith which was bestowed into him by Jose Mourinho.

However the competition will be tough for Torres taking into consideration the players that Chelsea have available in their attacking department which includes the likes of: Andre Schurrle, Eto’o, Juan Mata, Demba Ba and Oscar.

He scored 2 goals against Schalke 04 in their latest Champions League which should keep him in Jose Mourinho’s players to make a likely start when they go head to head against Manchester City on Sunday evening.
